Family Space Day
Like many others, you may have often wondered, “Is there anybody out there?,” or, on some nights, dreamt of travelling to a faraway place in space. A multitude of questions come to mind when one peers into the night skies, which have seldom been answered. But should you get an opportunity to become a space explorer, could you lead a mission to the moon with the same flair and success that you lead your family or your team at work?
Family Space Day is a two hour event. The activities are set up so that children and parents can select the order in which they undertake activities. Parents and children are encouraged to learn, play, and explore together.

What to expect:
· Mobile planetarium show featuring “Ultimate Universe” at 10:45 or 11:40”, please check your invitation for the timing.
From the edge of space and time, through vast fields of wondrous galaxies, to the majesty of our solar system, this show will take audiences on a grand tour of the universe and let them experience its most provocative secrets. A joint effort between Evans & Sutherland and the Clark Planetarium, "The Ultimate Universe" is a three dimensional journey from the edge of the universe through space and time to reach our home planet, witnessing the major components of the cosmos along the way. This was the opening flagship show for the Clark Planetarium in 2003 and continues as one of our most popular programs!
· Construction of a telescope, kits will be provided for building a Galilean Telescope.
· Mission to the Moon: Explore, understand, and build robots that can be used in space, e.g. maneuvering a rover using a remote while tracking its movement on a computer
· Explore other resources on a multitude of astronomy and space milestones, software and multi-media
